The International Veterinary Students’ Association (IVSA) India is a proud member organisation of IVSA Global, the world’s largest association of veterinary students, uniting thousands of aspiring veterinarians across more than 70 countries. Representing veterinary students from institutions across India, IVSA India aims to foster professional development, cultural exchange, and global collaboration among future veterinarians. With an ever-growing network of active local chapters, the organization serves as a vibrant platform for learning, leadership, and innovation. The International Veterinary Students’ Association (IVSA) is a non-profit organisation founded by volunteer veterinary students in 1953. The mission of IVSA is “To benefit the animals and people of the world by harnessing the potential and dedication of veterinary students to promote the international application of veterinary skills, education, and knowledge.”

Our Story -
The Beginning

IVSA India began its journey in 2013, founded by Dr. Mangesh Nakade from Nagpur Veterinary College, Nagpur. Since its inception, it has focused on building a unified network of veterinary students in India, promoting academic growth, collaboration, and professional development.
